Largest Dragonfly
Greeting everyone as they enter the Village of Wabamun from the Yellowhead Highway is the "Spirit of Wabamun", the world's largest dragonfly. Erected in 2009, the dragonfly was chosen because of the abundance of dragonfly hatchlings in the nearby lake. The 30' wide insect was made from recycled materials including old aircraft wings, a light standard and propane tanks.
